Our Vans – extended high-top Sprinter Vans – hold as much as a small truck. The cargo area is 14′ long x 6.5 high x 6′ wide.  For moving jobs, most studio apartments and smaller 1 bedroom apartments fit with no problem, and our moving vans are great for furniture delivery services. For larger moves, we have 26′ moving trucks available. The Sprinter Van ride is much smoother than a moving truck, so less bouncing and jostling of your items during the move. The narrower footprint of our moving vans often allows us to double park without blocking traffic, or get down narrow streets where a truck can’t go.  For any of your moving company needs, contact Man With A Van and we’ll be happy to help you find the best solution for moving your home, office or providing furniture delivery.

Are clean diesel vehicles more “eco-conscious” than hybrids?

It depends on the application and your point of view. The advantage of Clean Diesel is this: it combines a significantly more efficient and dependable engine system with a cleaner, more efficient fuel and then adds new technology around ignition and emissions systems. What you get is an engine that uses less fuel, burns as clean – or cleaner – than regular gasoline and avoids that messy dead battery storage issue.

Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel vehicles with advanced emissions control systems offer significant air quality improvement. This system reduces the total output of harmful emissions by 80 to 90 percent.

Exhaust is first filtered to lower carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon levels. Then it runs through an apparatus that removes soot and other particulates. Finally, the remaining exhaust gas is sprayed with a urea-based substance that helps convert harmful nitrogen oxides – NOx for short – into harmless nitrogen and water vapor.

Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel vehicles with advanced emissions control systems offer significant air quality improvement equivalent to a hybrid without the messy dead battery disposal issues.

Clean Diesel vs Hybrids. And Cat Pee?!

We strongly believe that Sprinter Vans are the most eco-friedly option currently available in a larger vehicle. Sprinter Vans operate on Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel and have advanced emissions control systems that offer air quality improvement similar to a hybrid but without the toxic dead battery disposal issues.

Exhaust from the engine is first filtered through a device that lowers carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon levels. Then it runs through an apparatus that removes soot and other particulates. Finally, the remaining exhaust gas is sprayed with a urea-based substance that helps convert harmful nitrogen oxides — NOx is the shorthand for this group of compounds — into harmless nitrogen gas and water vapor. According to Mercedes-Benz, the system reduces the total output of harmful emissions by 80 to 90 percent.

Fun Fact – the pollution-killing urea-based substance mentioned above is concentrated feline urine – that’s right, cat pee!
